Learn celestial navigation, satellite navigation systems, great circle sailing, meteorology and passage planning.
Duration
5 Days (Monday – Friday).
Experience
You need to have successfully completed the RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate of Competence and First Aid certificate.
Training
This course covers the theory sections of the RYA syllabus so that you can sit the written part of the exam with confidence. (Further practical passage is necessary in order to meet the requirements of an oral exam.)
Candidates wishing to gain the Yachtmaster Ocean Certificate need to ensure they have completed the theory component as well as taken sights at sea. They also need to hold a valid Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate of Competence.
