OR
3 weekends
OR
2 weekends
(if you have already completed the 2 Oceans Start Yachting course.)

CAPACITY: Maximum 5 students per course
REQUIRED SAILING EXPERIENCE: None

With no previous sailing experience necessary, the 2 Oceans/RYA Competent Crew course is an ideal introduction to yachting. During the 5 days you will be taught how to steer a yacht, put up the sails and handle them, become familiar with nautical terms and learn how to live on a yacht amongst other things.

In sailing, safety is of utmost importance, which is why you will be taught how to assist in the recovery of a man over board, operate flares and use lifejackets, harnesses and life rafts.

You will also sail over 100 nautical miles, enjoy at least 4 night hours of sailing and visit many of the harbours and anchorages of the Cape/Langebaan area.

The training you receive will ensure that you are able to function as a confident and competent member of any sailing crew. Food is supplied for the course and there are no extra costs.

The 2 Oceans/RYA Competent Crew course is run throughout the year.
